Lessons From a Two-Year-Old

Hello Blogworld! You all may know my wife, Jennifer. She is a blogaholic. This is Kenny, the ludite who checks his facebook and myspace once every blue moon (meaning, whenever I get good reception in a really boring class at seminary). Anyway, enough about me. Today I would like to post my first blog by recounting the lessons my son taught me today.
When Jennifer and I were sitting on the couch today, Kennan looked up at us and said, "When we are broke God will fix us." We asked him to repeat what he said because we couldn’t believe our ears. He said, “When we are broke God will fix us and make us all better." When we asked him where he heard that, he said, “God told me that.”

At seminary we read all sorts of books about God and our relationship with God, and sometimes I learn something. Kennan remined me today that it is God who reveals himself to us. We are broken by sin, but God loves us so much that Jesus became sin so that we could be fixed and made all better by being reunited with God. May God bless you all.

Kenny

I love that children can remind us of the simple but most important truths in life. What a sweet story - thank you for sharing that! It's a nice note to end my day on.

And can I say I'm quite impressed that you are posting on the blog? I will have to try to convince Brian to do that one day.

wow! Isn't God cool the way he reveals himself sometimes?
