Week in Pictures

Have you commented on my 300th post yet??? You have until midnight on Sunday!!
Brayden is really into her babies lately. The other day I found her like this...

The firefighters in our town are super friendly and when we ran into some of them at the grocery store they told Kennan he could come by anytime to check out the station. We were there the next day!!11 weeks! And a new (short!) haircut... I guess Brayden needed her 11 week belly shot too?? With her "Braydenator" cape on of course! Roses blooming! Checking out an airplane with daddy... Brayden woke up from her nap the other day and I sent Kennan in to entertain her until I could get there. This is how I found them! Silly kids!Brayden decorated herself with some 18-24 month stickers! Kennan at his school last night for meet the teacher. He told me he was a little excited and a little nervous! The house got super quiet while I was finishing up this post. I went in search for my cuties and this is how I found them...watching Max and Ruby together!

300th Post Funnies!!!

Yesterday, this sweet thing informed me "I want Tristan come to my house sleep in my bed with me." WHAT?? How old are you? And NO! Tristan cannot come and sleep in your bed with you!
Today in the car she was whispering to herself. I asked what she was talking about and she replied "My life." WHAT?? How old are you? Is your life already full of drama??
Anyway, this is my 300th post! Yippee! How about this: If you leave a comment on this post by midnight on Sunday (August 30) I will draw a name and send a prize your way! So, get to it!

WOOT!!

Have you ever heard of woot.com?

Do you know that there is now a kids.woot.com??

This is how the site describes itself: we offer a new deal every night at midnight Central time, in limited quantities at a discounted price. Only one product is available at any given time. If you want one, you click that big orange button that says I WANT ONE. When it sells out, or the next midnight rolls around, that deal is gone. No backorders, no rainchecks, no do-overs. And no, we don’t tell you what the next product is. What fun would that be?

I have personally never bought anything from either of these websites, but think you might be able to find a good deal on something you are looking for! Have you ever bought anything from woot or kids.woot? I'd love to know if you were pleased and really felt like you got a deal!

For My Dad

My dad is a great man. He can kill a rat that found itself in the grill, if you need him to (with Jill's help).
He has always been encouraging, loving and supportive. He is a wonderul Pops to my kids and great father-in-law to Kenny. Dad has always stood by my side and encouraged me to be the best I can be. He is also really great at reminding me when I have neglected the blog. So dad, this one is for you (and the rest of my faithful readers)!!!

The Rodeo was in town last weekend so we went! Here is Cowboy Kennan...really the only thing that makes him a cowboy is the hat... Cowgirl Brayden Kennan got to be in the nickel drop. They bury nickels (and other coins) in the dirt and the kids go hunting. It was pretty funny!
Kenny came home early from work one day and played with the kids (and some friends) outside. I think they had fun!
Who do you think won this battle?
Hey mom! Watch this!

Blowing bubbles with daddy! Please ignore my poor daughter's hair...
It was after this picture that I went inside to get a brush to do something about the mess on top of her head...

We had a church event at the Putt Around on Sunday night...Brayden enjoyed golfing with Resse and Tristan.
Kennan enjoyed the watermelon!

Anniversary, Party, and Baby!

Kenny and I celebrated 6 years of marriage yesterday! I love Kenny more and more everyday and am thankful to have him in my life. He has an incredible amount of patience, loves me and our children unconditionally, and serves with a servant's heart. I am grateful for the 10 years we have been together and for the last 6 years being his wife. We have 2 beautiful children (with one on the way!!!) and I can't wait to see what the future has in store for us!
The two love birds 6 years ago!!!
We didn't really get to celebrate our anniversary (although I count our trip to San Antonio as a great celebration!!). We had dinner with the kids on the patio Saturday evening and had a great time!
On Sunday, our anniversary day, we had a birthday party for Brayden with all of our friends here at home. It was an animal party and we had a great time!
Here and the kids (oh, and Kenny too) doing the bear crawl. Brayden decided since it was her party that she could do whatever she wanted...no bear crawl for her!

Getting ready to blow out the candles. Kenny made her cake and cupcakes...excellent!!!

Playing with Reese and Tristan...

Kenny and I with the birthday girl!! I guess this also counts as our 6 year anniversary picture!
I don't have any pictures to share of our biggest news...but we are having another baby!!! (You will already know this if we are friends on facebook!!) I am 8 weeks and a few days along and due March 17. Yes, for those of you keeping score that is the day after Kennan turns 5!! Here's to hoping this baby comes early! I want the kids to have their own birthdays and definitely would like to be out of the hospital on Kennan's big day! So far the nausea seems to have passed but I am extremely tired. Already feeling as big as a house but know we have a lloonngg way to go!
*Again, I have no idea why my pictures are sooo grainy. They don't look that way in my picture files...*

Brayden Turns 2!!!

Our sweet little girl turned 2 on Sunday the 2nd! We had a small little party for her at my parents house with a few family members. It was a great way to celebrate our little girl!

Here are some things to know about our newly-turned 2 year old (all of these pictures are from her party)...

*Brayden went to the doctor and weighs 23 pounds (8th %) and is 33 1/2 inches tall (25th %). She is long and lean and the doctor finally gave in and said "she is just small". Thank you doctor! I've been saying that for months!!! *Brayden's vocabulary is H.U.G.E. I have no idea how many words she can say but I do know she can speak in full sentences and is quite smart (I'm the mom and I can say that!!). My favorite thing she says is "Mommy I wuv you" and she says it while pressing on her cheeks in a funny voice. Too cute! *Brayden adores Kennan. In fact, when you ask her how old she is she will tell you she is 4...because that is how old Kennan is. She would follow him to the ends of the earth. I love that they can play together and laugh together (for the most part with limited arguing).*Brayden continues to be full of life, attitude and personality. She loves to test her boundaries and isn't afraid of much (except for people dressed up in costumes...that Red Robin bird gets her every time!!).

We fall more in love with our sweet girl everyday. It is my prayer that she continues to grow into a young lady who is full of life, love for family and for Jesus. We love you Brayden!!!

*I have no idea what is up with the grainy pictures. It is late and I am tired and already a little behind with this post!!!*
