WARNING: There are 24 pictures in this post...keep reading at your own risk!! And then at the end, comment and tell me which one was your favorite!!! If you make it to the end, there is a small announcement!
On Labor Day, our town had a festival put on by the fine arts group in town. It was really great and Kennan had a blast! (Brayden was there too but there wasn't much for her to do!!)
Kennan dancing to the high school band's music...
Made a little sand art...
Rode on a pony...
Sat in a fire engine (there's Brayden...told you she was there!!)
Did some art with shaving cream and water colors...
Rode on a "train"...
And had a sword fight with some buddies...

The next day, Tuesday, was Kennan's first day of school which I already posted about. I failed to mention that it was also the day he wrote his name all by himself, with all of the letters!!! He has been able to do "E" for awhile now, but never the "A" or "N" and "K" always gave him a little trouble. Well, I guess he was inspired during his first day of preschool to come home and give it a try!!!
Hard at work...
Brayden enjoyed cruising up and down the benches...
I guess Kennan has been inspired by being able to write his name because art time has become a lot more frequent at our house! Here he is writing a letter and drawing some pictures for some PTS friends. We set out to work on some art for Hannah, Katie, and Hans (small groups at a time, you know.) Well, by the time we got to Hans, Kennan informed me that he was only going to "send some art to my girlfriends." Sorry Michelle, Hans' art will have to be saved for another day!!!
Play time in the backyard!!
I believe she was making this face at her daddy... .JPG)
Bath time!! It occured to me today that I have about 500 pictures of Kennan in the bath tub and only 5 of Brayden. So, I took a few this evening.
Not to be outdone by his sister, Kennan had to be in some too!!

Oooh, I love it when I am first commenter!!
My favorite was...Keenan carrying the cross. That is a really cool picture. It would be neat in sepia or with everything in the background darkened where you just see him.
Also, way to go writing his name!! Walker has 6 different letters in his name, so it's taking a while, but I am MAJOR impressed with that!!!
I love the small town. What cool stuff y'all do!
I just cannot seem to write short comments...
I couldn't decide on a favorite between the cross carrier and the letters either. I'm sure you and Kenny are SO proud. He's getting to be such a big boy! Way to go Kennan!
My favorite is him dancing at the football game - I just think that's adorable!
I'm going to vote for the one where he is up on his tippy toes after writing his name -- pretty darn cute! :)
my fave is the jumping celebration after he wrote his name too:)
Any picture with my grand kid's are my favorites.
But any time I see Kennan dance...
well... thats just special!

My favorites are Kennen being excited after writing his name. That is so great! Also dancing at the football game. I think I want to move to Pampa after seeing all the cool stuff going on. I can't wait to see the art work.
two boys at the baseball game....caught a natural moment with lots of good movement.....m
I would have to say I love the celebration picture (after writing his name, way to go!)...plus Brayden looks really cute in the background. However, I also LOVE the one of them both on the slide in the backyard. Too cute! What a fun time you all are having in small town USA - I am jealous. Makes me think about the good ol' days!
a fav picture... that's hard, they are adorable!
I do love the football pics though.
i have to say that i liked the one of brayden sticking out her tongue: ) it just shows some cute personality: )
I can't believe he did so good writing his name!!! Smart kid you have there! He is geting so big. I like the one with Brayden sticking her tongue out (did you teach her that?) and I like the football ones; go figure. Looks like you guys are having so much fun. See you in a couple of weeks, I can't wait!!! Jill
Okay- 3 way tie: Kennan's name jumping celebration, Brayden sticking out her tongue and the last one of them in the bath. You are so great at capturing their emotions. What two cute little people you have!
My fav is the last one of them in the tub -- clean, shiney kids!
