Abilene is treating us well!
Friday and Saturday was the all important meeting that held Kenny's fate as the pastor in Pampa. I am happy to report that all went well! He preached a sermon on Saturday morning and then was examined (questioned) by the Presbytery. He was asked 3 questions and answered them all wonderfully. He was unanimously voted in as pastor and a member of the Presbytery. We are thrilled and I am so proud of Kenny. He has worked so hard to make it to this point!
We attended church at our old church this morning and it was great to see old friends and people who have supported us throughout this journey. At the end of the service they called Kenny and I up and presented Kenny with a beautiful stole that was hand made by a woman in the congregation. It is beautiful and will always bring back memories of FCPC every time Kenny wears it.
I think the kids are beginning to become sick and tired of all this traveling. We have not been in the same place for more than 3 nights since we left NJ on May 29. We are looking forward to going to Pampa in the morning and moving in to our new home!! We will spend some time there before we head back to DFW for Kenny's ordination service next weekend. After that trip we won't be going anywhere for a long time! We are ready to be in one place for awhile! Here are a few pictures of our time in Abilene. (Looking at them I realize I haven't taken many! We've been a little busy...and Brayden isn't in any. She has been pretty miserable and not in the photo mood.)
