I am always looking for fun new things to do...whether it be a new organizing trick, recipe, fun activity for the kids, or even a new book to read (and so on...).
This is where you come in...I thought it would be fun to do this every Thursday and post something I think you've gotta try! In return, in the comment section you post something you think everyone else has gotta try. You can either do this by leaving your idea in the comments section, or post a blog entry on your own page and then write the link in my comments section. Make sense?? (I don't think I need to say this but I will...let's keep it G-Rated!!!)
Who knows, maybe this will get all of you "lurkers" to comment also!! I know EVERYONE has at least one cool thing they do that others want to know about!!
Okay, here's mine...
So I discovered this thing called Google Reader (www.google.com/reader). It is like an email inbox for all of the blogs (and other sites) you read and want to keep up with. Everytime the site you want to read is updated, google reader lets you know. This is great for many reasons! If you are like me, you want to read the blogs of all of the people you love you don't have to go through your "blogroll" every day! You just check the ones you know have been updated. It saves soo much time!! If you go to the website, they will explain what to do and it is really simple. Just enter the site's name under "add a subscription" and google reader will do the rest!! How cool is that??
Now it's your turn!! What is your "YOU'VE GOTTA TRY THIS!!"??

Oooh that sounds very handy. Google is truly going to take over the world, or at least my computer. I sent you a whole box of stuff "you've gotta try" soon!
I love Google Reader, I've been using it now for at least a year. You can subscribe to not just other blogs. But tons of sites have RSS feeds you can subscribe too, The New York Times, Scientific America are just two examples. I actually read this through RSS. Just don't get addicted like I am. I've got around 150 subscriptions with an average of 700 items per day coming in.
What a fun idea! I can't wait to see all of your "you've gotta trys":) I agree with you on the RSS feeds...they are wonderful and save sooo much time! My recommendation for this evening are the Hershy 100 calorie candy bars...there are several kinds--my faves are the three musketeers. It's just enough to satisfy the craving and you don't break the calorie bank!
Mine is the Pampers Points thing (I guess only applicable is you USE Pampers for your babies, lol). I found out about it after Jackson was 2 months old, and wish I knew about it earlier. You just enter codes off of Pampers products that you buy and you earn points towards toys, books, etc.
I love Google reader!
Hmmm, something new to try? I love all of my eco-friendly cleaning products from Seventh Generation and Method. They're also coming out with baby products like wipes and diapers. It makes me feel better knowing I'm not destroying our environment every time Nathan uses a diaper.
i have been using google reader for several months now and love it! it got to where i had wayyy too many blogs to check and it wasted sooo much time. i think every blogger should use it!!!
