Kennan has had a loose tooth since June. Over the last few months it has gotten looser and looser. FINALLY...last Sunday during church he was wiggling it and it started to bleed a little so we left during Kenny's sermon. I will not get mom of the year for this one - I made him try and pull it out. {I do not do loose teeth-YUCK!} After a few unsuccessful attempts we went downstairs to children's church where a kindergarten teacher was. I was hoping she had some experience with loose teeth! We were in luck...Ms. Brandy pulled it in one try! Kennan was ecstatic, Ms. Brandy was honored to have pulled his first tooth, and I was relieved that I didn't have to do it!!!
Now the funny thing is that his permanent tooth has been growing in behind the loose baby tooth for the last month or so. {You can see it in this picture.} So, he has a "gap" from the lost tooth but there is already a new tooth!
Getting his tooth ready for the tooth fairy!
Monday morning Kennan woke up to a $5 bill and a bill from Greece. The tooth fairy left a note telling Kennan that she thought he might like to see some money from another country. He thought it was pretty awesome, but also didn't understand why he couldn't spend a 1,000 bill from Greece!!

Congratulations, Kennan! I imagine a kindergarten teacher was just the right person to find. E. recently mentioned that her first-grade teacher has a whole set of classroom rules around loose teeth, starting with "Only the person with the loose tooth gets to say who can touch it and who can pull it out." !!
