Back to Life...Back to Reality...

Some of you may or may not have noticed that I haven't blogged since the 10th day of June. We've been a little busy...

2 weeks ago we packed up the van and headed down to good ol' Buffalo Gap to work a summer camp for the week. We had a lot of fun, but were definitely worn out when the week came to an end!

Kenny had to leave camp a day early to head back home to do a funeral. While we were at camp, one of the sweetest men from church passed away. He was the first one to welcome us (before Kenny even had the job!) and he and his wife constantly provided us with yummy food. We will miss him! After camp and the funeral, we all met up in DFW to head for Santa Barbara!! Kenny's cousin was getting married so we made a vacation out of it and were able to spend almost a full week there. We went with Kenny's parents, his brother and girlfriend and had a fantastic time!

Kenny's parents rented a nice house for the week and this tree was growing in the backyard. It was really cool! Here are me and Brayden with Lala!

We took the kids to the Sea Center on the Santa Barbara pier. They had a good time!

We got to play on the beach. It was a little chilly so it didn't last too long!

We relaxed and dined in style!

We went to the Santa Barbara Zoo and Kenny and Chris fed the giraffe. The kids were a bit freaked out (notice Kennan in the bottom of the picture) and Chris got slimed!

We did a little hot tubin...well, everyone but me. I didn't get into my swimsuit the entire week!!

Now you might understand the reason for the title of this post. We are definitely back to reality and it is taking some getting used to! Meals to cook, rooms to clean, floors to be vacuumed...well, you get the picture! Oh, and Operation-Wean-Brayden-from-Pacifier has commenced. Do you hear someone crying and screaming "pafi, pafi, pafi"? Yeah, it's her!
