Keeping Busy (and Cold!!)

The past few days have been cold and rainy. The rainy part is welcome, but I am ready for it to warm up!! But have no fear...the cold and rain haven't stopped us!!

Our town has a putt-putt course and hawaiian shaved ice stand (much better than a sno cone) that just so happens to be down the street from our house. We went there a lot last summer when we moved here (and the owners go to our church), so needless to say, when it closed for the winter Kennan was quite upset. For the past few months anytime we passed it, he would inspect for any activity going on to determine whether or not it was open for the spring. Well, much to Kennan's delight they opened for the season on May 1st, which conveniently had a high of 55 for the day with rain. Putt-putting was out of the question...but you better believe we were there for the shaved ice about an hour after they opened. We took the treat home with us to eat and have already been back one more time!!

Trying to decide what flavor to order...
A very excited 4 year old!!!
We got to go back on Sunday for a birthday party, and again it was cold...but that didn't stop Brayden and Tristan!
Kennan enjoying his time on the links...
Today Kennan's class had a nursery rhyme program and sing-a-long. It was pretty cute!
Notice anything wrong with this picture??
It only took Brayden a few seconds to discover that the "big" kids were having all of the fun so she decided to join them!
Time for audience participation!
