Me: I'm sorry that you chose not to obey. Because I had to ask you too many times, you have lost that privilege.
Kennan: I only have to obey God and Jesus.
Me: I realize that. It is very important to obey the things God and Jesus say. Did you know that the Bible is the word of God? In the Bible, it also tells us that we should listen and obey our parents too.
K: Not my Bible. It says I only have to obey God and Jesus.
Me: Okay, we'll discuss this with you father in the morning.
Good thing Kenny is a pastor! Maybe he can talk to Kennan about this one better than me!!!
Here is my smart boy with his "treasures"
(aka:rocks found in the alley on the way to feed some horses down the street)
Just for grins...here is our little diva (Watch out Paris Hilton!)
And tonight Brayden was obsessed with going over to the potty, trying to take off her pants and saying "tee tee" over and over again. I finally gave in and put her on there to sit. It only lasted 5 seconds and then she wanted to get off...and then back on...and then back off!

TOO cute, Jennifer! OK, if Brayden potty trains any time soon I will be so amazed. :) Such great pictures!
great post! I ususally feel like I have nothing much to say too! Just know the readers enjoy!
One of the first scriptures we teach our kids to memorize is, "Children obey your parents in the Lord, for this is right." Ephesians 6:1
That one gets repeated a LOT!
we are all about the potty currently!! that is so awesome that she is interested. I love the earlier conversation-nothing like kids trying to use scripture against the parents!!! so cute
So funny!! Why don't the kids save the theologically deep questions for the one with the MDiv? Come on-there has to be an advantage to being married to a pastor!
I love that picure of Brayden with the sunglasses! She is so cute. Oh... potty training.... not even on my radar... it's weird to think that at some point diapers will not be apart of our lives.
