Today we went to Pottery Barn Kids and they have the cutest things for kids. Kennan and his two friends played with all of the toys that were floor models. Kennan loved the kitchen area (sink, dishwasher, oven, and fridge). His favorite thing to do was take all of the cups, plates, puzzle pieces and put them in the oven and fridge. When we got there the toys were everywhere, but Kennan helped out by putting them all in the kitchen appliances. It was pretty cute. (He actually became quite territorial.) They also have beautiful toddler bedding and wonderful chairs and ottomans.
Sometimes I wish that I were rich. If I was, I could buy Kennan everything he wanted. The kitchen area would be so much fun for him to play with at our house. I would also buy him the cutest clothes and even more toys! I could also buy things for myself and Kenny and we would never be in want! If I had a million dollars that would be so easy!
Yeah, right! It is a dream...but somehow I think having more money wouldn't make me that much happier. We might have all of the newest and coolest gadgets, but is that true happiness? I am thankful that my parents raised me to work for what I want. They taught me that money doesn't grow on trees and that things might not come easy. At the time, I hated that they wouldn't buy me everything I wanted or hand over their wallets when I wanted to go out with friends. Now that I am an adult, I am grateful for their teachings and hope that I can pass that on to our child(ren). I am pretty happy right now because all of our needs are met...we have food in the fridge, clothes on our body, and a roof to sleep under.
But a girl can dream...what would you buy with a million dollars?

Great post! I totally understand how you feel because the exact thought constantly goes through my head. It's a tough call to make sometimes, but you do end up feeling very grateful and blessed for what you have. I just know that I'm much better off now than when I was my poorest at ACU!
Hmm...if I had a million dollars, I'd first and foremost pay off all our debt (college, car payments). That's hard because I know I'd want to spend the money on something that I WANT first, and not what needs to be taken care of first. BUT I'd definitely still want to get my Mini Cooper S, no questions about that!! Haha...
I too, would pay off all of my debt first. I would then get Lasik for anyone in my family that would benefit from it. It might sound weird, but I dream of the day that I can go swimming without worrying about losing a contact. Haha!
