Special Day

Wednesday was a special day for Brayden at school. It was her birthday blessing day and she also got to be the cross carrier. Brayden's school does a few things that make the children feel special and two of them happened on the same day for her!
{The neat thing about having a summer birthday is that your birthday blessing either happens at the end of the year or the beginning of the year. Lucky for Brayden, she had one at the end of last year and then one at the beginning of this year. I guess that means she was doubly blessed for her fourth year of life!}
The cross carrier gets to lead the students into chapel for the day...

Then, during the birthday blessing the child gets to light a candle...
be prayed over...
and then sung to!
{Can you tell Brayden loved every minute of it?}
We love you Brayden Lynn!

Go Kennan!!

After months of talking about it, Kenny finally took Kennan out to learn how to ride his bike without training wheels. {We tried a few months ago but were not prepared - tire was flat, no tools to get the wheels off...duh} Anyway, today was the day!!
After only one fall, he mastered it...but still needs a little work on turning and stopping!
Excuse the wind in the video, but Kennan's comment in the end pretty much sums up his feelings!

Soccer!

Kennan's first soccer game of the season was today!
{His coach is super cute!!}

And just in case you were wondering, this is what the goalie is supposed to do when the action is on the other end of the field...

18 Months!

Our sweet, not-so-baby anymore turned 18 months last week.
Grayson is the sweetest little boy. He has such a joyful, full of life spirit.
He is full of personality and is not afraid to stick up for himself against his big sister and brother. But he is also a cuddler, hugger, and kisser. My day is made when he walks up with his lips puckered for a kiss!
Grayson's vocabulary continues to explode by the minute. Today Kenny and I were talking in our bedroom and heard him walking down the hall toward us. Before I even saw him or what he had in his hands, I knew exactly what he wanted. "Ma-corn" was his request and he had even found the container in the cabinet. Can you guess what his daddy was doing the next minute? Making his sweet baby boy some ma-corn...POPCORN!
Grayson loves to entertain us, whether it's peek-a-boo, dancing and spinning in circles, or singing/yelling into the Dora microphone. He gets a laugh every time!!

Grayson is very serious about his choo-choo trains (yes, this is a serious face, not a poop face). Today while Kennan and Brayden were at school he played very hard and long with his trains.

I guess it's safe to say that Grayson isn't a baby anymore. I still call him one, and if he sees a picture of himself or his reflection he calls himself "baby". We love our Grayson Benjamin and can't imagine life without him!!

First Day of Pre-K!

This post is a little delayed, being that Brayden is already in week two of Pre-K.
These pictures were from last Wednesday, which was her first day of school.

She is loving school and being with her friends and teachers again!

All Good Things Must Come to an End...

No more staying in jammies all day...
Or going on fantastic vacations...

Or late nights at the park...
No more playing in the dirt after lunch...
Or being silly in the backyard...
No more crazy pool parties...

Or picnic lunches with friends...
Because school starts tomorrow!
I guess all good things must come to an end...

Simple Things

It's the
simple things
in life
that bring
the most
JOY!

My Sweet Little Family

My parents were in town this weekend so we went downtown and took some family pictures. Our last family picture was when Grayson was 7 months old, so it was about time!

Kennan Joshua, 6 1/2 years old, 1st grade
Brayden Lynn, 4 years old, Pre-K
Grayson Benjamin, 1 1/2 years old, home with mom
Me and the sweetie, 8 years of marriage
